About

Deborah is a counsellor and mental health therapist registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Her approach is person-centred, trauma-informed and holistic, drawing on extensive professional training as well as lived experience.

Deborah honours each person’s dignity with respect and compassion, recognising their unique experiences and the ways these have shaped their lives. She offers a welcoming, non-judgmental space where people can feel heard, understood, valued and validated.

She supports individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex PTSD (C-PTSD), relationship difficulties, stress, emotional dysregulation and significant life transitions.

Deborah has a particular interest in psychoeducation and somatic approaches, recognising the importance of understanding the connection between our thoughts, emotions, physical responses and lived experiences. She is passionate about sharing knowledge in ways that are meaningful and accessible, helping people develop their own understanding, recognise patterns, build emotional regulation skills and establish a personal foundation of knowledge and practical strategies they can draw upon independently.

Her aim is to walk alongside each person with warmth and compassion, fostering self-awareness, resilience, confidence and personal agency. She believes meaningful therapeutic support extends beyond the counselling space, empowering people with the understanding and resources to make informed choices, navigate life’s challenges and create lasting, positive change.

I believe that each person is the sum of their unique story, their life, and their experiences. We all have an innate need for a space where we can feel safely held and truly heard—with compassion, understanding, empathy, and without judgment. A place where we can be seen for who we truly are, and still feel valued, respected, and treated as an equal.

In this world, it’s easy to feel alone, lost, or afraid. I am deeply committed to walking alongside you, offering unwavering support, and providing a safe sanctuary. My role is to shine a light ahead, helping you see the path forward and guiding you toward a life that feels meaningful, fulfilling, and empowered. A life rooted in hope, and balanced in harmony—spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
